  • Double type; Red slightly inclined to purple, large size
  • Very bright crimson with very little blue in it, outer petals large and waved, central
    petals incurved and notched.
  • Late nineteenth century breeders attempted to eliminate dulling pigments and
    the Karl Rosenfield is a product of this development.  
  • Midseason.
